Abstract

In implementing development, the government requires accurate planning of the development it does. One indicator used for development planning in an area is the Consumer Price Index (CPI) and Inflation. CPI and inflation are routine data that are presented by BPS on a monthly basis at the end of the month or the beginning of the following month. The CPI is the ratio between the value of public consumption in the current month and the value of public consumption in the base year. Changes in the CPI over time indicate price fluctuations in the commodity packages of consumer goods and services.
