NATIONAL SEMINAR OF STATISTICS

The National Statistics Seminar was held on Saturday 28 September 2019 at the Auditorium of the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Syiah Kuala University, a collaborative activity between Statistics Unsyiah and BPS Aceh in the framework of the National Statistics Day 2019. This seminar carries the theme "Optimization of Demographic Balance in Welcoming the Golden Indonesia 2045 ", guided by Mrs. Dr. Zurnila Marli Kesuma, M.Sc (Statistics Lecturer Unsyiah) as the moderator of the activity. Acting as resource persons were Mr. Drs. Sahidal Kastri, M.Pd (Representative Head of BKKBN Aceh Province) and Mr. Dr. M. Nashrul Wajdi, S.St., M.Si (Head of Population Mobility Statistics Section of the Central BPS). This event was also enlivened by the appearance of Ranup Lampu Dance by Himasta Unsyiah students as the performers.
The seminar was officially opened with a tambourine beat by Deputy Vice Chancellor I Unsyiah, together with the Head of the Aceh Provincial BPS, the Head of the Aceh Provincial BKKBN Representative and the Dean of FMIPA. The event continued with the reading of the declaration of "census pioneer campus" by representatives of the BPS of Aceh Province and unsyiah students and the signing of the declaration by Prof. Dr. Ir. Marwan as Deputy Chancellor I Unsyiah. On this occasion the MoA was also signed between BPS of the Province of Aceh and the Department of Statistics, Mathematics, and Information Technology.
The first guest speaker, Mr. Nashrul Wajdi, explained the material entitled "Population Census 2020 Supporting Development in the Industrial Revolution Era 4.0". On that occasion he delivered about the vision of Indonesia Emas 2045 and how to prepare superior HR. The second guest speaker, Mr. Sahidal Kastri explained the material entitled "Demographic Bonus Opportunities and Challenges". He said that 1 in 3 or 4 Aceh residents are teenagers. The seminar lasted for approximately 3 hours, and was closed with an Acoustic Himasta performance which added to the excitement of the event.
